How is your spring? Mine just started. When spring comes, I get very busy with taking photos of cherry blossom flowers. They live very short period of time. Maybe a week to 10 days tops. But luckily they don’t blossom at all once. Some location within Seoul blooms later than the other, so I get around a few weeks of time window to capture the beauty of cherry blossom flowers.

Right before cherry blossom, plum flowers bloom. Usually the color of plus flowers are not red. But there are several places in South Korea where you can see red plum flowers. They look so beautiful.

My favorite place for cherry blossom hunting is the old palace area in the middle of Seoul. Due to old style wall, somehow it makes cherry blossom flowers even more beautiful. I guess maybe because of stone wall patterns.

Somehow HANBOK(Korean traditional costume) became a big tourist thing, so if you visit palace areas, you see a lot of visitors wearing HANBOK. Due to HANBOK, you get lost in time as if you were doing time traveling to 500 years ago Korea. This adds more fun in enjoying cherry blossom flowers.

I live in a place where temperature is slightly colder than Seoul, so I get to see flowers a little later. I can’t wait to see them in my neighborhood soon. What’s your spring look like?
