Leica M7 – Kodak film Ektar 100 or Portra 400 for roses.

Kodak Ektar 100 film makes all colors pop while Kodak Portra 400 makes smooth color. I wonder which one can be the best fit for roses. Of course, the best way to find this out is to try both.

Like I expected, Kodak Ektar 100 is perfect choice for red color roses. Especially it looks great with dark red like the above photo.

If you need to stress red color, I guess Kodak Ektar 100 will definitely impress you! Red color pops in the above photo.

Now let’s check out how roses will look with Kodak Portra 400.

Pink roses look better with Kodak Portra 400 film. If you see this photo in full resolution, you would feel as if you could literally feel roses!

Of course, I like both films for roses. But Kodak Portra 400 seems to be better choice for all colors while Kodak Ektar 100 is best with red color.

Somehow, I feel like Kodak film works better with Leica M film camera rather than Fujifilm. Fujifilm feels more blue therefore it feels more cool than warm. I like warm feeling in my photo.
