Photo Walk in Seoul for Foreign Visitors — with Photographer Allan Kim

Hello! My name is Allan Kim, a Seoul-based photographer and content creator.

I shoot both professionally and personally, with a strong passion for street photography, night photography, and visual storytelling.

Over the years, I’ve hosted many photography workshops and 1-on-1 lessons for local photographers in Korea. Recently, I started thinking:

What if I could share Seoul through photography with visitors from around the world?

So I decided to start a small experimental photo walk for foreign visitors in Seoul.

This First Event Is Free

As a trial event, participation will be free under one condition:

I will be filming a behind-the-scenes video for my YouTube channel and future promotional content.

By joining, you agree that photos/videos taken during the event may appear in my content.

If that sounds good to you, feel free to join.

What Kind of Photo Walk Is This?

This is not a typical “tour guide” experience.

Rather than simply visiting famous tourist spots, I want to show you parts of Seoul through the eyes of a photographer.

We will walk through several unique streets and locations around Jongno — places that become especially beautiful in the evening when the city lights begin to appear.

During the walk, I’ll also casually share photography tips along the way, especially for:

  • Street photography
  • Night photography
  • Capturing sharp handheld images in low light
  • Finding cinematic compositions in busy city environments
  • Using available light creatively

You are welcome to ask questions anytime during the walk.

I mainly shoot night photography myself, so the atmosphere will likely focus on Seoul’s evening mood, neon lights, alleyways, markets, and everyday city life.

Depending on the group’s preference, the session can lean more toward:

  • Street photography
  • Cityscape photography
  • Travel/documentary photography
