Often times, I am asked if I could do NAVER SEO work for client’s company. The short answer is “yes” but long answer is “Yes, but you need to do it on your own, but I could assist you in every step of the way.”
I am also asked if I could optimize client’s web site to appear on top of NAVER organic search result. The short answer is “yes” but the long answer is “No, I’d rather not do it.” Web site appearance in Korea is less important than having your own NAVER blog to promote whatever you desire. Maybe I should rephrase it, web site appearance is of no importance unless you simply want it.
These are some of my clients’ blog screens. All of them have a corporate web site, but none of them use it for NAVER SEO because it’s pointless. Unfortunately, NAVER prefers their blog platform a way better than web sites. So in the search results, blog postings have higher priority.
Also people are more interested in the latest updated news as opposed to static information via web page. People are looking for information about the service and users who use the same service. Therefore if you have your presence (visibility) in Korean market via online platform, these are what you need to so.

- NAVER Post (Blog and Post are different platform.)
- SNS connections (You must have Instagram and more.)
Depending on your business, you might need to use Kakao service.
Kakao Talk is kind of a iMessage with SNS, PayPal, Bank and community integrated. You could broadcast your product and services through Kakao Story platform, then if you want to promote something, you could ask your target audience to become your friends. Then you could issue coupon only to your friends.
Please note that none of these are meaningful unless you are NAVER optimized (NAVER SEO) via NAVER blog. But once your blog is NAVER optimized whenever your target audiences search on your target keywords, you will be visible everywhere.
